With the whole family together during the holidays? Play Heemskerk!

The holidays are just around the corner and at Heemskerk we know all too well what that means. Pleasant evenings with the whole family!
Yet those evenings can sometimes be a little bit boring. But if it were up to us, that wouldn't be necessary at all, because there is a lot of fun to do this December

Sjoelen

Sjoelen may sound a bit old-fashioned, but that is certainly not the case. This traditional Dutch game remains a favorite when it comes to activities during the holidays. Because the game with the wooden stones can be played by (almost) everyone, it is a nice addition to your Christmas Eve or during the Christmas holidays. You will find one especially for the children collapsible mini shuffleboard. This shuffleboard is a lot smaller than the official size, so children don't have to push as hard. Which family member will collect the most points this year?

Table tennis (around the table)

For avid sports enthusiasts who would rather not spend both Christmas at the table or on the couch, table tennis is a fun, active option. You do not have to immediately purchase a complete table tennis table (that is of course allowed, ours is a nice model for home use Roll-Compact 1800). A neat, what paddles en balls and you can start. Play 1 against 1 or go for a doubles match. But the most fun is of course a game around the table.

Darts

Don't have much space in the living room? Then darts might be something for you. A dartboard en arrows and you can already start. With darts you can vary infinitely with the games. You can choose the traditional game, where you count backwards from 501 (or choose 701 if you are looking for a challenge), but other games are also great fun to play. For example, try the game “1001 the other way around”. In this game everyone starts with 0 points and the first to reach 1001 points loses. Bouncers and arrows that land next to the board score 60 points. There are many more games to be found. Are you not (yet) as good as Micheal van Gerwen? Then protect your wall and floor with the special dart ring and dart mat or opt for darts with soft tip.
