All air hockey tables van Heemskerk are supplied complete including accessories and original parts. Unfortunately, it may happen that one of the parts needs to be replaced. Don't worry, most parts of our air hockey tables can be ordered separately. In our webshop you will find, for example, the air hockey engine. Available for both the smaller and large Heemskerk air hockey tables.
How does an air hockey table work?
An air hockey table has a lot of small holes in the playing field through which air is blown. The air hockey puck floats on that air, so to speak. To generate those air currents, a small one is used engine with fan.
Because the puck floats on the air, there is no friction between the puck and the air hockey table. When you go with a pusher against the pucks he will therefore quickly move to the other side of the table.
Is air hockey a sport?
Air hockey is not yet played competitively in the Netherlands, but competitions are being organized in the United States. There is even a real World Cup. These air hockey competitions are organized by the air hockey association AHPA, the Air Hockey Players Association.
Official matches may only be played on certain air hockey tables. Those tables must meet certain requirements. For example, the air hockey table must be 8 ft and must have been played in at an earlier time. The tables approved by the air hockey association are equipped with 2 or more motors. Rules are also attached to the pucks and pushers. For example, pushers must be smaller than 100 mm.
